Ever since she was a little girl and saw Mommy wearing that huge white plaster cast on her leg, Jennifer could not help but want a cast on her leg or arm on herself continuously . Until she could afford to buy the plaster and other materials she always wanted, she woud have to content herself with wearing a makeshift splint made of cardboard or balsa wood which she craftily molded to her wrist. She had no shame about wearing these home-made splints in front of her friends, so, it follow suit that, being a creative and very imaginative girl, who was also extremely attractive, with a bubbly personality she also could make anyone believe a story she made up.
So, during her junior year of high school, Jennifer was getting desperate to have a real plaster cast put on her and she wanted to be in a wheelchair, like another girl she met at the mall during Thanksgiving break, who broke both legs while skiing. When she went on a ski-trip with her high school, she made a plan. Being wealthy and knowing a doctor who would do it for her, she arranged to fake a fall on the slope, make it look real, and have her sympathetic friend dial on her cell-phone for the rescue crew who were friends of the doctor. It would take a lot of coordination, with a few favors, promises and a few of her dazzling smiles (plus a few hundred dollar bills changing hands would certainly not hurt), Jennifer was on her way to being casted! She leaned heavily on her left ski as her ski poles tilted leftward downhill on an intermediate slalom, and down she went. A little bit of good (or bad luck, depending on who was hearing the story) intervened and the inevitable "snap!" sound and the shooting pain followed. "Holy shit" Jennifer muttered to herself as she tumbled downhill, her right tibia and fibula bent at an impossible angle. "This really does hurt like nothing else!!!" The friend called on her cellphone and the rescue crew came and gathered her up and whisked her away to their hospital which laid a few miles further down the road than the more popular local one.
Dr Edgewood greeted her in the emergency room, "And what do we have here, sweetie?" Jennifer gave a somewhat titillating tilt of her head with her wavy blonde locks flowing, and gave a little grin between winces, I really did it this time doc! I know I broke it and I want a cast, not one of those damn ugly splints". Dr Edgewood lookl down at her twisted, swelling leg and said "with that kind of break, we ALWAYS cast that!!!" With that, the orderly and 2 nurses loaded Jennifer on to a gurney and brought her down to the treatment room. A huge Physicians Assistant met them there and they went about setting the fracture. Being 6" 5" and 255 pounds, Bud could reset fractures as easily as a golfer putts a ball across a golf course. With little fanfare and tons of momentary pain, the fracture was set and down to the castroom they went. The doctor asked Jennifer what color cast bandages she wanted. Being utilitarian and not wanting too much attention in school right now, Jennifer meekly asked for standard white fiberglass which matched all clothing and had to be put over the plaster to strengthen it. The Orthopedic Staff wrapped her leg from the toes all the way to her groin, with the knee bent on a 20 degree angle. Just as Jennifer expected to be wheeled away to her clinic to be discharged, the cast technician grabbed her other leg and started putting the stockinette on it. "What are you doing",she exclaimed to the startled technician. He replied,"Didn't you know, you broke your other leg?" and proceeded to show her the x-rays. Little did she know, that her "sympathetic" friend played a trick on Jennifer by explaining Jennifer's full fantasy about wanting both legs in casts. The staff arrange to have a copy made of someone els'e's broken left leg ( only her right leg was actually broken) and tossed it in her files. As it turned out, Jennifer's fantasy was fulfilled and she went home with both legs in white fiberglass casts, from toes to groin and confined to a wheelchair from mid -December until at least late February.

As far as she was concerned, Jennifer was now in 7th heaven. Despite not being able wo walk at all, with her actual broken leg with 2 rods that protruded from the sides, and that cast with her "other" broken leg being bent at a 30 degree angle, there was no way she could balance on either of them, thus necessitating her confinement to a wheelchair for a full 3 months! That length of time took her casted time into February which meant she could shamelessly wear the casts to her high school. After being released from the ski area hospital Jennifer was able to, with a few painkillers, attend school. When Kelly, her best friend, pushed the wheelchair into the school yard, a huge number of guys suddenly started noticing her. They were competing with each other as to who would carry her books or push her wheelchair when Kelly wasn't around, to the point where a fistfight ensued which had to be broken up by 4 large male teachers! Being gregarious and attractive to the point where 20 other very pretty girls would be rendered practically invisble by Jennifer's deadly combination of looks, personality and casts, she had to pick the name of a guy from a hat as to whom she would date, as surprisinglym Jenifer never had a steady boyfriend. The fun Jennifer had was great, right up to the time the casts were removed, as the casts were bid upon by the various guys who were driven crazy by them being on her very long shapely legs. She ended up selling the pair for $1000.00 with whch she used toward putting a down payment on her college tuition at a distant prestigious university. Jennifer's parents, surprisingly, were not worried about Jennifer's exuberance for her casts, as her father was an Orthopedic Surgeon and her mother a physical therapist who played the role of "casters" long before anyone knew what the term was about and before there was an Internet that let casters discover that there were others like them. Jennifer, was one of the few who knew there were others just as her father did.
As Jennifer's parents dropped her off at college later that fall, he kissed her goodbye, winked and said to her "Don't break a leg!!!" which was their secret code for "Happy Casting" and handed her a heavy mystery canvas duffel bag Jennifer hadn't seen before, weighting about 80 pounds! Mom and Dad drove off, Jennifer peeked inside the bag, gave a huge grin and chuckling to herself said " I certainly don't have to now!!!!"

Jennifer dragged the heavy bag up into her dorm room, and glancing over her shoulder, noticed that the door to her dorm room was open! She had been away from the room for about an hour during which she had said goodbye to her parents and greeted a few cute guys who couldn't help but notice the tall leggy blonde Jennifer, wearing short shorts, worn somewhat low enough in the latest fashionable way to show her side strings of her bikini underwear, a short t-shirt which slightly revealed the large tattoo she had around her pierced belly button and the tattoo on her lower back, which are all the rage among the "cool" set of women between 17 to 30 years of age. She was feeling a lump in her throat, thinking possibly a rapist snuck into her room, after all there were no shortage of nuts and perverts around these days, and despite her sexy appearance, Jenifer was a devout committed virgin and wanted to stay that way until she would meet the right man.
Nervously approaching the door and leaving the bag a few feet away from the heavy door, Jennifer peered into the room through the space between the door and the frame. What she saw then made her jaw drop a mile and made her shout with delight. What happened was Kelly, Jennifer's best friend, came into the room unannounced and unexpectedly, because she was hoping Harvard would accept her which they didn't but better still, the school Jennifer was going to did and they had actually higher standards than Harvard and had a more conservative faculty! Adding to the shock of Jennifer ,was on Kelly's arms were 2 long arm casts, both of fresh plaster that looked only a day old! Thinking Kelly had broken her arms, Jennifer asked her what happened to her. After a few umms and aaahhhs, Kelly confessed to Jennifer that she also had a thing for casts and now, being away at college away from overbearing parents was her chance to wear the kind of cast she always dreamed of but was never able to wear, in fact she feared she would have to break a bone to wear a cast because her parents were so overprotective of her, still calling Kelly their "baby" in spite of the fact she was a fully grown, 6 foot tall athletic brunette.
They both giggled and then Jennifer, becoming a little more serious, asked Kelly who was going to help her with everyday activities and taking notes? Kelly said she hired a personal care attendant, who was a shy boy she knew from summer camp and also happened to be a caster (in fact, he was the one who put the casts on her arms) and who would spill the beans on her secret. So, like a faithful little puppy, Kelly's PCA follwed her around, helped her with everything and even was aquiescent when Kelly's football player boyfriend came around. Kelly, being book-smart but a little naive, could never figure out why her PCA, named Joey, was so acceptive of Bucko, her boyfriend. His own secret was that Bucko was Joy's first cousin and both found out by mistake over the Internet that each was a caster, agreed to meet, and astonishingly came face to face at the meeting place, neither one expecting the other. Bucko loved casts a ton but was afraid to ask Kelly directly, so he paid Joey to come up to both of them when he was together with Kelly and ask her if she could help him with his med-school project to put casts on a willing subject.
Kelly thought at the moment, gee, my old friend is really kind of weird, but I always wanted to wear a cast, so she immediately asked Bucko if it was okay with him, to which he said, "You look sexy without casts but with one, I''ll be through the roof. So, within 2 hours, both of Kelly's arms were covered in plaster casts, from the fingers to armpits, covering both thumbs!

They all had fun for the next 6 weeks, Kelly enjoying her severe immobility of not using her arms and all the others taking turns helping her. When it was all over, Joey took out his cast saw and helped her take the 2 heavy plaster LATS casts off. They had a strong odor but after removing the padding and stockinette and a few lengthy spays of Lysol disinfectant and then allowed to air out, the casts were ready to be re-lined and re-used for Halloween or whenever Kelly's arms "became too sore" as she told her neighbors on campus but as her friends knew, that she started to love wearing casts and wanted more of it. They told their dorm-nates that they met in the hospital and both were being treated for an orthopedic disease called "Osteochondrosis" or literally "soft-bones" which caused their limbs to break easily and thus they quite often needed to wear casts. Being a valid medical term it went over well and no one ever knew the difference again as one or the other showed up in ever more restrictive casts! October came around and the girls wanted to get a jump on their "costumes". They both took a course in Egyptology and both decided to have themselves mummified, (of course with modifications to allow themselves to breathe!) They arranged to wear their huge "cast" for 2 days apiece and then they would have it removed. They would stay overnight in the department headquarters to allow efficiency of movement. They both arranged for a huge quantity of plaster at department cost to be delivered overnight.
The Fedex truck arrived just before classes with several huge boxes of plaster and other orthopedic and medical supplies. The girls cancelled their other plans for Halloween, with the only condition being that Bucko and Joey would watch the proceedings, assist and make sure nothing went wrong. Two people assisted with joey on Kelly and two others on Jennifer. Both totally undressed and they both had the stockinettes applied to their arms, legs,body and heads. Holes were cutout for the nose and mouth and breathing tubes inserted, along with catheters to allow for evacuation of waste. Then, cast paddiing was applied all over, after each had their eyelids taped shut with no-hurt tape and then eye patches and then the padding over the eyes. Then, 2 inch plaster bandage was applied to the fingers, 4 inch to the legs and head and 5 inch bandage to the body. As the bandages were applied to the entire body, the three people casting each Kelly and Jennifer lifted each onto a treatment table and the finishing touches were put on the feet, which then with the legs were covered in a triple layer binding them together. As each had the arms, already covered in a single layer of plaster which then were crossed over each other and bound together and then to the body, all sembalnce toa livingof time and space was lost and both took on the appearance of a genuine Egyptian Mummy. The participating students then meticulously started apllying each Mummycast and as they were doing it, Jennifer and Kelly had lost recognition of time and space, feeling as though they were floating in intense blackness. the 48 hours went by and , suddenly, each heard the dull roar of a cast saw as it was carefully applied to the head portion of the cast. "so soon, both said, I thought this was going to be for 2 days, not jsut 6 hours. Everyone in the room laughed as the newspaper with a date 2 dates later waw presented to each, which featued the story of the casting session. "where have you been!, they all said with a smile . "we gave you both an extra day, this is YESTERDAY'S NEWSPAPER!!!!!!!

The final remnants of the huge mummy bodycasts were removed from Jennifer and Kelly and everyone had a great time with the followup party. The people who made up the Egyptian Sciences Department were amazed at how well the 2 girls took the ribbing and the grueling 3 days of total confinement in the casts and Jennifer gave the explanation of "being so used to wearing casts because of her bone disease". For credibility's sake, the 2 girls didn't walk in originally into the Egypt Sciences Building prior to being mummified, they were both wheeled in by Bucko and Joey, in newly purchased used wheelchairs, for that "veteran Handicapped person effect", with which everyone there believed Jennifer's story.
After the crowd and the 2 girls dispersed, Kelly wanted to go to the restaurant off campus, but not as her usual self but as a handicapped person. Joey had 6 rolls casting bandage remaining so they knew it wouldn't be enough for the scenario she envisioned. Jennifer chimed in, "My dad is an Orthopedic Surgeon and he gave me his platinum card. I know a place where you can order Orthopedic Supplies as a regular person. It's called Grogan's Medical Supplies and they certainly will ship to me if I identify myself as his assistant daughter at a different address! Since it was Monday and Jennifer knew Grogan's can ship by overnight Fedex, they set a restaurant date for Friday when there would be a larger crowd at the restaurant who knew Jennifer and Kelly, thus committing both to a long term cast adventure. Happily contemplating the scenario, Jennifer immediately went to her dormitory room telephone, took out her father's additional Platinum Card and called in a massive order, enough to stock a busy Orthopedic ward for a month! The order came to about $30,000. She then had Joey drive with her to the local storage supplier, and rented out the largest storage compartment available. She did all this with her father's permission, and told him of her intent to hear a large, strictly immobilizing cast for a research project and he was all too happy to oblige.
Sure enough, the order came in and was sent directly to the storage depot where it wouldn't attract too much attention. A few well placed hundred dollar bills in the attendants hand assured his cooperation to "bend the rules" and the order was safely deposited in the correct storage bin in a timely manner without any fanfare. The attendant then called Jennifer on her cellphone who then made arangements with Joey to go and pick up the correct supplies for their "project". Enough was set aside for a double hip spica cast and 2 long arm casts for Jennifer, and for Kelly, a full bodycast from toes to the top of her head.
They wisely decided not to return to the dorm room for the project as it wouldn't "look right" but instead did it in Joey's spacious off- campus apartment that Jennifer and Bucko helped him to rent as their "playroom".
Jennifer and Kelly stripped down totally to bare skin and they started with the stockinettes. Jennifer soon found herself totally unable to move her ankles,knees, hips wrists and elbows and felt like she was in a large Plaster Prison. Her knees her slightly bent and her elbows were each bent at a 40 degree angle. The cast itself must have weighed 120 pounds. Kelly's cast was even more restrictive, covering her head, leaving openings just for one eye, her nose and mouth. Both ears were covered in thick plaster so she couod only hear muffled sounds andf her left eye was taped shut with an eyepatch over the tape and then the bodycast. It was molded into a sitting position so she could be more easily wheeled in the elevating legrest wheelchair she bought two weeks earlier. Jennifer, in contrast elected to splurge and buy a special mobile bed on wheels that accomodates a person confined to a bed but needing to travel. it was a juge frame with a mattress, with cuff restraints to hold the legs, and wrists and upper body, and the restraints fit easily over the hip spica cast.
The crowning moment came on Friday, during which Jennifer and Kelly were wheeled into the restaurant in front of all their friends who gathered after the weekly cheerleader pep rally and practice. They all stood there gawking at the sight of Kelly and Jennifer, both almost totally covered in plaster and unable to do anything at all for themselves. The crowd was told that the pair was hit by a car at the same time and because of their disease, which they both had, almost every bone in their bodies was broken !!! The girls in the cheerleading squad absolutely ate it all up and had a ball signing nearly every square inch of Kelly's and Jennifer's casts with drawings and sayings!!!

All the while, as all of these events happened, with the Egyptian Departments Mummy event and the huge casts that Jennifer and Kelly decided to wear, college classes needed to be attended and Jennifer and Kelly certainly were not excepted from doing so. Joey served well as a personal care attendant for Jennifer and he did exceptionally well for her, taking notes at every class in which Jennifer was unable to do so due to having the casts on her arms because of her "illness" . Nobody semed to mind ,however, Jennifer enjoyed the immobility the casts provided, Joey got paid to attend classes as an aide and Jennifer's classmates, especially the guys, loved seeing the leggy blonde perpetually casted and eagerly anticipated signing her casts and anticipating what sort of cast she would have on next time. Jennifer managed to earn Dean's List despite being unable to write nearly 3 out of every 4 classes. She was determined to keep the huge double hip spica cast on her for 8 weeks, and she would not give herself a way out, unless an emergency determined it otherwise.
Kelly likewise made a similar commitment but even added 2 more weeks for 10, even though the cast was incredibly itchy and sweaty. She too, loved the immobility but her situation was the one that was about to change. Shortly after Halloween, with the two girls being the star of all 5 Halloween parties they attended, Kelly was in her wheelchair being wheeled by 2 girls she had befriended from the cheerleading squad near the student center plaza. It was an oddly designed building, with steps on 3 sides of the building, which turned out to be Kelly's undoing. The boyfriend of Heather, one of the 2 cheerleader friends, came over and she went off to the side to talk to him, being all excited as he was now wearing a long arm cast. A moment after she leaped up to ask him about the cast, Kelly's wheelchair, with her in it, started rolling down a slight incline as the lock was not engaged on either wheel. Heather's friend Mindy, had her head turned at that very moment looking across campus at the pretty sunset. Kelly tried to yell desperately but could not stop the wheelchair as both arms were incorporated into the body cast in the manner of a double shoulder spica. Just as Mindy heard Kelly, as she awakened from a daydream, the chair ahds rolled 15 of the twenty feet from the edge. Normally the athletic Mindy could have bounded over and caught the wheelchair, but she herself had a splint on one knee and a hinged neoprene sleeve on the other.
The wheelchair tumbled head over wheels down the stairs and nearly every unprotected bone of Kelly's fractured, the cast itself, made of plaster of Paris, split and cracked in 10 places, and as the chair made it's way down twenty steps, both of Kelly's arms and legs broke for real this time. Kelly was mercifully knocked unconscious and would stay so for nearly one month, being in a coma. The 2 girls and the man nearly became hysterical but after nearly 2 minutes of arguing who was going to do what and who was responsible, Heather finally had the presence of mind to pull out her cellphone and dialed 911. An seemingly endless 10 minutes went by and the ambulance pulled up next to the building.
By that time, a large crowd had gathered around Kelly amidst the commotion, most of who were on their way to have supper at one of seven student cafeterias which was nearby to this calamity. The ambulance crew and a good portion of the crowd who did not know Kelly did not know what to make of the pretty brunette girl laying at the bottom of the stairs like a plaster humpty dumpty. The inevitable questions were asked and were answered meekly. As both girls Heather and Mindy did not know that Kelly actually had no illness but merely enjoyed wearing casts, they answered the questions the best way they knew how, and that faulty data was entered into the medical records at the emergency room of the hospital.
Jennifer was oblivious to the situation as she had lab that late afternoon. Heather was supposed to call for Kelly to arrange for a meeting time for supper but amidst all the excitement, Heather forgot all about Jennifer and supper until 6:30 when Jennifer had been wheeled herself by Joey to that very same area above the stairs where they all were supposed to meet. After Jennifer gave an extra 10 minutes, a classmate of Kelly's and Jen's strolled by and said, seeing Jennifer obviously waiting there for her friends. The girl Asked "Didn't you hear what happened to Kelly?" Jennifer replied with "what happened?" and as the classmate Annie explained, Jennifer nearly had a heart attack, she started screaming and had Joey yank out her cellphone. He dialed the number of Jennifer's father as instructed and he agreed to meet her the next day and drive her to the hospital to help with Kelly's treatment.
